Second Bangladeshi Woman Wasfia Nazrin Congrasulation to Mount Everest

 DHAKA: Congrasulation Wasfia Nazreen, second Bangladeshi Woman mountaineer on Saturday reached the summit of the Everest, world’s highest mountain, as part of the Bangladesh Seven Summit Campaign.

Korvi Rakshand, spokesperson of the Campaign informed media, “Wasfia reached the summit at 6:41am Bangladesh time today.”

She is the fourth Bangladeshi mountaineer who hoisted country’s Bangladeshi  Red and green national flag at the top of the mountain just a 7 day after Nishat Majumder conquered the world’s highest peak as the first Bangladeshi woman. Nishat conquered the Everest on May 19 and now on way back home.

Wasfia started her effort for the summit of Mount Everest on May 21.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and opposition leader Begum Khaleda Zia congratulated Wasifa on her success.

Earlier on May 24, 2010, Musa Ibrahim became the first victor to hoist Bangladesh’s national flag on the globe’s summit.

Muhit is the first Bangladeshi to scale the mountain twice. He first scaled the mountain peak on May 21 last year and he accompanied Nishat May 19 this year.
